HARMONY of Paul from conversion to C. 40 AD 2: is from Acts 22

    Acts 9

    7

The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing
    no one.

    (9

And those who were with me saw the light, to be sure, but did not understand
the voice of the One who was speaking to me.2)

    10

And I said, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord said to me, ‘Get up2) (and
stand on your feet; for this purpose I have appeared to you, to appoint you
a minister and a witness not only to the things which you have seen, but
    also to the things in which I will appear to you;

    17

    rescuing you from the
    Jewish
people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you,

    18

    to
open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the
dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an
inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.’3)

    Go on into

    Damascus,
and there you will be told of all that has been appointed for you to do.’2)

     8

Saul got up from the ground, and though his eyes were open, he could see
nothing (because of the brightness of the light3); and leading him by the
    hand, they brought him into

    Damascus.

    9

    And
he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.

    10

Now there was a disciple at

    Damascus
named Ananias (a man who was devout by the standard of the Law,
    and
well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there,2); and the Lord said to him
in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.”

    11

    And
    the Lord said
to him, “Get up and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the
house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying,

    12

and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on
him, so that he might regain his sight.”

    13

But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much
harm he did to Your saints at

    Jerusalem;

    14

and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on
    Your name.”

    15

But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to
bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of

    Israel;

    16

for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.”

    17

So Ananias departed and entered the house, and after laying his hands on him
said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road by
which you were coming, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be
    filled with the Holy Spirit.”

    (And
said to me, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight!’ And at that very time I
    looked up at him.

    14

And he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will and
to see the Righteous One and to hear an utterance from His mouth.

    15

    For
you will be a witness for Him to all men of what you have seen and heard.

    16

    Now
why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, by
    calling on His name.’2)

    18

And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he
    regained his sight, and he got up and was baptized;

    19

    and
he took food and was strengthened.

Now for several days he was with the disciples who were at

    Damascus,

    20

    and
    immediately he
    began
to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is the Son of God.”
    (19

“So, King Agrippa, I did not prove disobedient to the heavenly vision,

    20

    but
    kept
    declaring both to those of

    Damascus
    first . . .

    that
they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to
    repentance.3)

    21

All those hearing him continued to be amazed, and were saying, “Is this not
    he who in

    Jerusalem
destroyed those who called on this name, and
    who
had come here for the purpose of bringing them bound before the chief
    priests?”

    (15

    But
when God, who had set me apart
    even
from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, was pleased

    16

to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did
not immediately consult with flesh and blood,

    17

    nor
did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went
    away to Arabia.G)

     22

    But
Saul kept increasing in strength. (and returned once more to Damascus.G) 22 confounding the Jews who lived at Damascus by proving that this Jesus is the Christ.

    23

When many days had elapsed, the Jews plotted together to do away with him,

    24

but their plot became known to Saul. They were also watching the gates day
    and night so that they might put him to death;

    25

    but
his disciples took him by night and let him down through
    an opening in
the wall, lowering him in a large basket.

    (18

Then three years later {after his conversion} I went up to Jerusalem to
become acquainted with Cephas, and stayed with him fifteen days.

    19

    But I
did not see any other of the apostles except James, the Lord’s brother.

    26

    When he came to

    Jerusalem,
he was trying to associate with the disciples; but they were all afraid of
him, not believing that he was a disciple.

    27

But Barnabas took hold of him and brought him to the apostles and described
to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that He had talked to him,
    and how at

    Damascus
he had spoken out boldly in the name of Jesus.

    28

And he was with them, moving about freely in

    Jerusalem,
speaking out boldly in the name of the Lord.

    29

    And
he was talking and arguing with the Hellenistic
    Jews;
but they were attempting to put him to death.

    (17

“It happened when I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple,
that I fell into a trance,

    18

and I saw Him saying to me, ‘Make haste, and get out of Jerusalem quickly,
because they will not accept your testimony about Me.’

    19

And I said, ‘Lord, they themselves understand that in one synagogue after
another I used to imprison and beat those who believed in You.

    20

And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was being shed, I also was
standing by approving, and watching out for the coats of those who were
    slaying him.’

    21

    And
He said to me, ‘Go! For I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”2)

    30

    But
    when the brethren learned
    of it,
    they brought him down to

    Caesarea
    and sent him away to

    Tarsus.

    (21

Then I went into the regions of

    Syria
    and Cilicia.G)

    (20

    I
    kept
    declaring . . .

    also
    at Jerusalem and

    then
throughout all the region of Judea, and

    even
to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds
    appropriate to repentance.3)

    (22

    I was
    still
unknown by sight to the churches of

    Judea
    which were in Christ;

    23

but only, they kept hearing, “He who once persecuted us is now preaching the
faith which he once tried to destroy.”

    24

And they were glorifying God because of me.G)

    31

    So the church throughout all

    Judea
    and

    Galilee
    and

    Samaria
enjoyed peace, being built up; and going on in the fear of the Lord and in
the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it continued to increase.

In Galatians, Paul jumps 14 years from this time to about 53 Ad and the

    Jerusalem
counsel which is recorded at Acts 15 and referenced at Galatians 2. | ||
